How it works

A real measurement, not a rule of thumb

Most online roof calculators multiply your home’s square footage by a number. That ignores pitch, overhang, and roof shape — the three things that actually drive cost. Ours measures the roof itself.

  1. Step 1

    Enter your address

No name, phone number, or email. Just the address of the roof you want priced.

  2. Step 2

    We measure your roof

Satellite imagery gives us your actual roof area and pitch — not a guess from your home’s square footage.

  3. Step 3

    See your price range

Three shingle packages, each with a cost range and a monthly financing figure.

Cincinnati roof costs

What a new roof costs by roof size

Ranges below are for a standard-pitch roof with one layer to tear off. Roofing is measured in squares — one square covers 100 sq ft of roof surface, which is more than the footprint of your house.

Not sure how many squares your roof is? That is exactly what the estimator measures. Run your address through it for the number on your specific roof.

What moves the number

Four things that change your roof price

Roof size

Measured in squares — one square covers 100 sq ft. A steep or cut-up roof has far more surface than its footprint suggests.

Pitch and complexity

Steeper roofs need staging and take longer. Valleys, dormers, and multiple planes all add labor.

Existing layers

Tearing off two layers of old shingles costs more to remove and dispose of than one.

Decking condition

Rotted or delaminated plywood has to be replaced. We cannot see this from satellite — it is found at tear-off.

Scope

What your estimate covers

Every package includes the same scope of work. The right column is what we cannot see from satellite and price at the inspection instead of guessing.

Included in every package

  • Tear off and dispose of existing shingles
  • New synthetic underlayment
  • Owens Corning shingles in your chosen line
  • New ridge vents for attic ventilation
  • New pipe boots and flashings
  • Daily debris cleanup and magnet sweep
  • All required permits
  • Final walkthrough with your project manager

Priced at the inspection

  • Decking replacementpriced per sheet if rot is found
  • Chimney or skylight flashingif yours needs it
  • Multi-story accesstwo or more stories
  • Second layer tear-offif the roof was layered over
  • Gutter or fascia replacementquoted separately
  • Structural repairsrare, but found at tear-off

What happens after you get your number

An instant estimate is enough to budget with and enough to compare against another quote. It is not a contract, and nothing is scheduled until you decide.

The instant estimate

Satellite measurement of your roof area and pitch, priced across three shingle packages. Good for budgeting, comparing bids, and deciding whether to repair or replace. Takes about a minute.

The free inspection

A roofer on your roof, checking decking, flashing, ventilation, and layers. This is where the estimate becomes a firm price. Free whether or not you hire us.

Roof estimate questions, answered

How accurate is an instant roof estimate?
The range is built from a satellite measurement of your actual roof area and pitch, so it is far closer than a per-square-foot rule of thumb. What it cannot see is what is under the shingles — decking condition, how many layers are up there, and flashing details. Those are the items that move a final price, which is why every estimate is confirmed with a free on-site inspection before any work is scheduled.
Do I have to give my phone number to see a price?
No. Enter your address and the tool shows your range for all three shingle packages. Contact information is only needed if you want the full breakdown emailed to you or want to book an inspection.
How much does a new roof cost in Cincinnati?
Most Cincinnati roof replacements land between $14,800 and $18,800 for a typical two-story home with architectural shingles. Smaller ranches run less and large or complex rooflines run more. The table on this page breaks it down by roof size, and the estimator gives you the number for your specific roof.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. The online estimate is free and there is no obligation. The on-site inspection is also free, whether or not you end up hiring us.
What is the difference between the three shingle packages?
Standard is Owens Corning Oakridge, a 3-tab shingle with a 25-year warranty. Architectural is Owens Corning Duration with SureNail Technology, a lifetime warranty, and 130 mph wind resistance — this is what most Cincinnati homeowners choose. Premium is Duration FLEX, which adds flexibility for better impact performance.
Will my insurance cover this?
If your roof was damaged by hail or wind, it may be covered. The instant estimate prices a full replacement at retail; an insurance claim works differently and is based on your policy, deductible, and the adjuster’s scope. We handle claims regularly and can walk you through yours.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most Cincinnati homes are a single day. Larger or more complex rooflines can run into a second day. We tear off, dry in, and finish the same day wherever the weather allows.
Which areas do you serve?
We work throughout Greater Cincinnati and the surrounding Ohio communities — Loveland, Mason, West Chester, Milford, Montgomery, Blue Ash, Hyde Park, Indian Hill, Oakley, and more. The estimator works for any address, but we schedule inspections within our service area.
